For those of you that are new to Convention or are seasoned attendees, here’s a quick run-down of convention events you certainly don’t want to miss.
The Chairman’s reception on Friday Chairman Burton will kick things off at the Chairman’s Reception at 6:00pm. Hosted by Next Gen Climate Action.
Hospitality Suites begin on Friday night at 10:15pm and are hosted by Democratic Organizations, Groups, Leaders or elected officials. This a great place to network and meet California Democrats from all over the State.
Panel Discussion: Voter Trends An in depth data explanation of voter trends during general and midterm elections, and what strategies California Democrats can employ to improve voter turnout during midterm elections.
Panel Discussion: Political Landscape Representatives from the Assembly, State Senate, Congress and Labor present the targets, goals and issues each will be focusing on this election year, and how California Democrats can come together to help achieve those goals.
General Session is where official party business is taken care of. Our party elected officials and leaders will be speaking during General Session on Saturday and Sunday. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Governor Jerry Brown and others will be taking to the stage on Saturday morning. Be sure to attend General Session starting at 10am on Saturday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Click here for a full list of speakers.
The CDP Luncheon will feature Congressman Keith Ellison. If you purchased tickets, it will be attached to your credential. The Luncheon will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The CDP Dinner will feature Congresswoman Barbara Lee and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro. If you purchased tickets, it will be attached to your credential. The Dinner will take place at the Westin Bonaventure.
